This story reprints and retells the story in X-Men #137, except that it features the "other" ending that was being round-tabled at Marvel by Jim Shooter, John Byrne, and Chris Claremont.  This "other" ending was not used in issue #137, wherein Phoenix (Jean Grey) dies.  In this alternate version, Jean Grey lives.  This issue also features some art drawn by John Byrne that was not previously released.  It's a cool book!  This issue is graded 9.6 NM+ with white pages by CGC.  This book has brilliant color, sharp corners, and nice alignment.  We aren't sure why it isn't a 9.8.
